Where the Sun Hits Your Cheeks

"Fashion, in the project Where the Sun Hits Your Cheeks", aims to foster emotional warmth. Impressionist painters capture this sentimentality in sunlight passing over natural scenery. "Where the Sun Hits Your Cheeks" is a fashion video, highlighting a specific character of nature: the honeybee. The sculptural accessories are original designs, handmade to bear the colors, textures, and abstracted shapes of a honeybee, as well as the natural landscapes seen in Impressionist works. The Honeycomb Glasses are a wearable data-visualization. Annually, from 2006-2013, approximately 31% of the 600,000 managed beehives in the United States collapse due to a variety of modern environmental stresses. The missing honeycombs in the glasses show this alarming statistic.
